Angie Ward really has been working hard recently, organising 'Jamie at Home' parties. On what was an excellent night at The Constable Arms at Sproatly, Angie made a fantastic host and raised a wonderful £453 Thank you Angie and well done. |

Butterflies Nursery in Hedon have been really busy recently, organising a sponsored walk across Humber Bridge, Fun Day and Raffle raising over £600 for Lily's Fund. A big thank you to all the staff and children at Butterflies especially Rachel Maplethorpe, well done to you all. |

Helping Hands Lifestyle team from Hedon otherwise known as Olivia Franks and Holly Cutts have had a lot on this Summer. They have been busy with a cake sale, sponsored walk, tombola, raffle and selling donated nail varnishes. Wow how did they find the time ! We are glad they did though, raising a wonderful £446.80. They also raised funds for the RSPCA at the same time. Thanks girls you are stars ! |

Random Rainbows Lifestyle team members Fay Gilgeous, Lauren Hutchins and Alex Hunt had a really busy summer. They organised bun sales, a bag pack and a car boot sale. They also found time to create a wonderful Nature Garden at Thorngumbald School raising a massive £665.50 for Lily's Fund. Very well done girls, an amazing effort ! |

Paul Welton must have been mad when he cycled solo from London to Paris all in support of Lily's Fund. He completed the gruelling 4 day journey and raised a fantastic £550 while he did it. Well done Paul and thank you for your wonderful support. |

A group of friends including Gail pulled out all the stops when they recently conquered the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. Having slogged through months of training the bunch of local Mums completed the gruelling walk in 11 ½ hours. They also raised a massive £1252.50 for Lily's Fund, a remarkable feat. A group of health service officials really went beyond the call when they organised a calendar girl style shoot. They sold the resulting calendars and donated a massive £610 to our charity. The Fabulous Four Lifestyle team came calling and brought with them a fabulous donation of £300 which they had raised during the summer by doing all manner of fund raising. When Sue Fairclough told us she was going to do 3 (Yes thats 3 !!!) 10k runs in quick succession for Lily's Fund, we thought she must be mad ! Sue is not the type of person to shirk away from a challenge and true to her word, she completed all 3 (in very good times I might add) and raised a massive £302 in the process. It's with heavy hearts that we thank the wife of John Spencer who recently passed away. Even going through such a difficult time, she still managed to think of others and donated the proceeds raised at John's funeral. With many thanks for such consideration at what is a very hard time. |

Staff and Pupils at Hedon Nursery School didn't send Christmas Cards to each other this year. They also organised other events and we were over the moon when they donated £36.34 to Lily's Fund. It was all the more special because Lily was an ex-pupil of the Nursery. Thank you everyone. |

DS Mike Reed and his team from Humberside Police were recently commended at National Level by the Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT). To recognise the excellent work, FACT made a donation of £500 to a charity of the teams choice. Lilys Fund were flattered and honoured to be chosen. Well done lads.

Oct 2008 saw a group of lads from Thorngumbald and the surrounding area, attempt to climb Ben Nevis for Lilys Fund. Dogged by horrendous weather the lads battled on but just failed to reach the summit as it was too dangerous. We were delighted to receive a cheque for £963 from their endeavours, well done lads. |
